FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will the TrailerFlex™ Wall System work on any trailer?
It will work on most 2” or smaller angle iron or square tube trailers. There may be some exceptions. The TrailerFlex™ Mid-Divider Kit will work on any trailer.
Can I use any width or thickness of lumber to box my trailer?
Any 2”-X lumber will work (Pressure treated or non-pressure treated). TrailerFlex™ recommends 2” x 6” or wider boards since they will be captured better in the U-channel however 2” x 4” will work. You can stack to your desired height and mix or match if the boards are securely captured in the U-Channel. The best and most useful boxing on most trailers is 2” T x 12” W lumber.
Will my TrailerFlex™ Wall System work on any length trailer?
YES! If you can get the lumber in the length you need, you can build it. Coming soon will be an additional accessory, the TrailerFlex™ Wall Extension Kit. This will allow you to purchase shorter lumber and extend your walls to the entire length of any size trailer.
Do I have to remove my brackets when done with my project?
No, you can leave them on the trailer. It is designed to plug and play as needed. If left on your trailer, we recommend occasionally lubricating the “Security Star Knob” threads with spray lubricant. Your choice. The result is “Your Trailer, Your Way”!
How do I protect my investment from theft?
The TrailerFlex™ Base Starter Kit Wall System brackets all have pre-drilled holes for attaching cable locks or standard locks with loop ends to your trailer.
Do I need any tools to install the brackets?
No, you do not need tools to install the bracket system, however, you will need tools to cut your lumber. TrailerFlex™ recommends securing all Sidewall and Mid-Divider boards to their brackets in the holes provided using standard fasteners.
Does my trailer tailgate need to come off my trailer?
No depending on needs. If you will be loading drive-on equipment, then leave it on. If you want the gate out of the way for unloading materials, then you can remove it. The TrailerFlex™ Wall System will work either way.
Is the TrailerFlex™ Wall System and Mid-Divider Kit cost-effective?
Absolutely! The bracket system reduces the cost of purchasing steel, lumber, and other materials to build a DIY wall that remains unsafe, un-tested, and with no flexibility. On top of that, the time required to design and create a DIY system means greater cost to you. Plus, flexibility is lost, and removal is typically difficult and time-consuming.
